Two weeks notice, not real employee

I contract my services out to a non profit company. I am a sub-contractor with them so I don't know if it is absolutely necessary to give 2 weeks notice?

Of course it's not necessary to give two weeks notice if you are considered a temp or a contract employee, however if you like the people or the company, you will do your best to allow them time to replace you when you leave.
