Ty Barnett scheduled to take on veteran Robert DaLuz in a non-title bout – Boxing News
Ty Barnett, the surging young American pugilist, is scheduled to take on Robert DaLuz, another veteran pugilist, for the second in a row in an eight-round bout which will take place on May 12, 2012.
The ring for the bout will be stretched at Convention Center situated in Washington, District of Columbia, United States and the event will be organised and promoted by Gene Molovinsky of Keystone Boxing.
The Saturday night pay-per-view will be co-headlined by the six-round non-title bout between Dusty Harrison and Joey Ortega and the above two men will headline the showdown.
Barnett, 29, has been in a total 22 bouts and emerged victorious in 19. He has collected 12 of his total wins by knocking the opponent out cold. In his short career, Ty has collected just two losses and on the other hand, boasts wins over many big names
such as Broderick Antoine, Tyrese Hendrix and others.
The young lad is coming from an impressive unanimous decision win over Damon Antoine and will enter the ring with a lot of motivation on his side. The reason for this is his Saturday night opponent’s fully tarnished resume.
Robert, 33, is a veteran who has been in a huge 56 bouts but unfortunately possesses a resume that exhibits 40 losses and just 13 wins. One thing that might get critics attention is his knockout ability since he has collected nine of his wins by KO.
As far as the win ratio is concerned, Ty has a clear upper hand over Robert. In addition, he has nailed many men with far more experience than him therefore it is probable that he will not face any kind of difficulty in nailing Robert.
Furthermore, Robert is on a continuous 12-bout lose streak and has not strived at all to break it. This is the aspect that is making the analysts lodge comments such as a ‘one man show’ or ‘a sparring session’ since Robert will certainly not create any problem
for Ty.
Barnett completely has the odds in his favour and there is no force at the moment that will create any problems for him in collecting an impressive rather easy win over Robert. However, if the Rhode Island hailing pugilist comes up with an impressive game
plan and tries to evade Ty’s knockout jabs he might defy the odds and break his lose streak.
