Tying off mole/skintags to kill it? Advice?

Question

My bf wants me to help him tie off a mole/skin tag and then it should lose blood supply and fall off?... Has anyone done this before or does it work? Tips or experiences?

Please don't just say go to a doc, he has and it is a long long wait so we were just curious about other methods in case.

Please don't do it.  Not only is there a high risk of infection (ever hear of MRSA), but it may not be what you think it is. Some skin growths are malignant.

I say see a doctor, whether you like it or not.  You would not like some of the possible effects of a do-it-yourself procedure.

you know I'm only here for your 2 points, BUT I will say try using the wart removal stuff on it. Is it a mole or a skin tag? I had a skin tag on my eye lid, when I was younger, it eventually just fell off cause I messed with it too much.

If it's a mole he should def wait til to see a doc, just in case it's cancerous... wanna be safe (=

ya Ive seen commericals where they have the "freeze it off" in a can stuff.

your best bet is to wait till he's sleeping then cut the sucker off.
