  1. Drink warm chamomile tea or try to eat something light. The stomach pain should go away on its own. The codeine that the pills/tablets contain can cause stomach issues, try to eat something before you take them. If the stomach pain persists call your doctor that recommended the mentioned medication.

  2. Codeine in known to cause constipation, which could be why you're experiencing stomach pain.  Have you had a bowel movement since beginning the medication?

If the pain persists and you don't think it's bowel-related, call your local pharmacist and ask whether this is a normal side effect and what you can do for the stomach pain.

  3. Talk to your doctor.  You may need to change medications- codeine is known to have a lot of stomach issues.

Side effect of tylenol with codeine includes the following:The most frequently observed adverse reactions include lightheadedness, dizziness, sedation, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting. These effects seem to be more prominent in ambulatory than in non-ambulatory patients, and some of these adverse reactions may be alleviated if the patient lies down. Other adverse reactions include allergic reactions, euphoria, dysphoria, constipation, abdominal pain and pruritus.

So abdominal pain is a legitimate issue for your doc to change your pain medication.
