Tyler Clary secure Men’s 400m IM gold – 2013 Arena Grand Prix
Tyler Clary of Club Wolverine-M secured gold medal of the Men’s 400m Individual Medley (IM) on opening day of the 2013 Arena Grand Prix in Colorado, USA, on Thursday, February 14.
The 23-year-old Clary demonstrated his astonishing efforts in the distant IM discipline and occupied gold medal. With his unrelenting efforts, Clary dictated terms to his challengers and made his way to the finishing end for gold medal.
Clary remained in a comfortable lead over his opponent and tapped the wall for the title with an effort of 4 minutes and 24.56 seconds.
The gold medallist was followed by Esteban Enderica of Davie Nadadores, who stayed 0.56 seconds slower from him and stepped on the victory stand for silver medal by touching the wall with the timing of 4 minutes and 25.12 seconds.
Enderica was traced by Conor Dwyer of Una GSC-FL, who stayed only 0.18 seconds slower from his former finisher and occupied bronze medal of the race with an effort of 4 minutes and 25.30 seconds.
Dwyer was chased by Brandon Flynn of York YMCA-MA, who was almost six seconds behind and settled on the wall as fourth fastest swimmer by reporting an effort of 4 minutes and 31.28 seconds.
Fifth position of the race was obtained by Miguel Robles Castro of Mexico, who was 1.08 seconds slower and emerged on the wall with the timing of 4 minutes and 32.36 seconds.
Similarly, Castro was trailed by Ian Rainey of Wilton Y Wahoos, who was one and a half body length behind and surfaced on the wall for sixth position with the timing of 4 minutes and 33.60 seconds.
Seventh fastest spot of the race was obtained by Eric Hedlin of Island Swimming, who was 1.18 seconds apart and posted a time of 4 minutes and 33.78 seconds.
Last spot of the race was secured by Carlos Claverie of Venezuela, who was considerably slower and hit the wall with an effort of 4 minutes and 38.49 seconds.
In addition, Clary received massive admiration from the audience for his notable efforts at the prize ceremony of the tournament after the session.
