Tyler Wingo steps back to the University of Notre Dame 
Jim Kubinski has announced that Tyler Wingo and Patrick Grahek will be attending the University of Notre Dame in the next year’s fall.
According to latest reports, the announcement was made recently by the head coach in which he stated that these two individuals will be attending the university in 2011 after they signed a National Letter of Intent.
According to the head coach, their decision is just plain amazing. Kubinski said that seeing Patrick and Tyler step back into the green golf fields is something that thrills everyone. He said that they are a great addition to the Notre
Dame Golf family due to their competitive nature and exceptional driving skills.
Regarding the golfer’s prophesy, Kubinski said that as Patrick and Tyler stride back to the course, they show full promise of providing the best form they can muster up for the world of golf. The coach said that if both of these golfers
continue to strive hard for perfection, it’s not long these players would be grab a line up regard for the next year.        
Tyler Wingo won the letter four times in history and has won the state champion 2 times. He will be joining the Irish from Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax, Va.
Wingo has been a brilliant athlete since he started playing golf. He had been playing under the wings of coach Milt Papke and left each season’s ending as a nationally ranked player. From his class of 2011, Wingo attained the ultimate
ranking of 39.
The golfer grabbed the individual honours in the year 2008 and 2010 in the state champions after carding an amazing score of 70 with a 2 under and a 72 (E) in the two years respectively.
Wingo also won the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) that was held at the Kingsmill and recorded a competitive score of 208. The three round event was played in 2010 where he carded 5 under in total and 7 birdies in the second round
of the tournament.   
According to Kubinski, the management never let Wingo’s form out of sight. He said that they kept a close eye on him and from what he performed all they could make out was ‘outstanding’. The August’s AJGA event and several other finishes
like these displayed his golfing abilities as well as the competitive nature he holds.
“You have to be highly competitive to be standing in the top 30- 40 players list like Tyler is” Kubinski said.
