  2. Adverb describes more about the verb. for example, I run fast.. fast is adverb. If i say i run, no one knows how i run... Some adverbs can describe about nouns and clauses as well... Adverbs indicate manner, time, place, cause, or degree. Hope this will help

    adverb: harshly (ex. the mother scolded her child harshly.)

    adverb: hesitatingly (ex. the student hesitatingly asked the teacher if it was okay to be excused.)

    adverb: frequently (ex. the boy frequently came by to see how his grandmother was doing.)

    look at the action and ask yourself "how" the action was taken, done, or carried out.
