  5. Sorry to disappoint all you yanks out there, but a joker is not a fake bait. I can quite understand why i the u.s of a you would call them so. In fact a joker is a small maggot used in course fishing. You don't fish it on the hook, rather they are used as loose feed when fishing caster or maggot on the hook. the reason is that the fish feed on the jokers and when they see a bigger offering they home in on it quicker, therefore inducing better takes.
