Types of boats for new york.?

im about to move to new york from louisiana within a year. i currently use a 18 foot xpress boat v bottom with a 90 hp motor. can anyone tell me what type of boat would be good for that area and also the area of lake erie

your vee bottom is worldly acceptable don't get far from shore on any of the Great Lakes and enjoy what you have many of us don't. you can fish 200 miles of the Hudson River and the river mouth looking up at skyscrapers, the lakes are numerous look at these:

If you are not going to try and cross lake erie your rig should be fine. Erie is big and you're going to want the power of the 90 hp if a storm blows in out of nowhere.
