  1. Guitars are used in:

Rock, Metallica, Shred, and the varied screaming vogue

    Classics, Standard, Pop

    Flamenco, Classical Spanish

    Country, Western, Folk

    European Folk, Gypsy

Orchestra, symphony, and other enrichment music

    There are more.

  2. You can use a guitar in every single genre possible. The versatility of the guitar is very wide. It's not just used for rock. I've seen a couple of rap artists use a guitar in a few of there songs. I've seen symphonies have a classical guitar playing behind them. I've used a guitar like a synthesizer before. The list keeps going on and on and on.

  3. Huh?  That doesn't make sense.  You can use a guitar in every type of WESTERN music.. but most Eastern music uses stringed instruments that are not guitars.

Othewise, guitars can be found in anything from Orchestras to red neck road houses.
