  2. I think the typical American breakfast is cereal.  I Usually eat Oatmeal or Museli every morning.

    Home fries - yum-

Muffins such as blueberry, or banana nut or corn muffins

Cereal with milk and some fresh fruit

    For the little ones, milk

For the big ones, coffee, tea, OJ, or tomato juice

  5. That depends on where you live.  Southern folk like grits, ham and eggs.  West coast are into granola, fruit and yogurt.  Canadians like Canadian back bacon, home fries, toast and coffee.  It varies from region to region.  We all love pancakes, waffles, muffins etc..

  6. some eggs bacon or sausgae

potato like has browns or home fries

    pancakes or french toast

  7. pop tarts and cereal.

  8. Unfortunately, most Americans skip breakfast. Only 20% or so eat breakfast at home.

I usually eat oatmeal with fruit, or egg white omelet with vegetables and toast, and lots of coffee. Sometimes I have toasted bagel with cream cheese and lox.

My husband always eats cereal for breakfast.

The typical breakfast that you'd get in a hotel or find in a first-grade American culture textbook would be eggs, pancakes, bacon, OJ, and maybe fruit and toast.

Lots of people buy their breakfast when they get their morning coffee. They usually get something like a muffin, one or two donuts, a croissant, or something similar.

Lots of people have turned to eating fast food for breakfast. The fast food industry has been advertising their breakfast menu items very aggressively, so more and more people hit the drive thru for breakfast.

  9. Our sunday breakfast when I was growing up in Southern California was scrambles eggs, fried country ham and red eye gravy with homemade biscuits. (Daddy was from Texas).  Coffee for the adults and milk for the kids.

A typical American breakfast during the week (school and work days) was cold or hot cereal with milk, a glass of juice, and toast with butter and jelly.

Now I live in Hawaii and although the weekday breakfasts have not changed much...and Hawaii is still in America..here is a typical breakfast here.

    Eggs (Scrambled or Fried)

Fried Spam, Portuguese Sausage or bacan (or all three)

Two scoops steamed white rice with soy sauce

    Toast

    Coffee

  10. Ah. Well, when I wake up in time for breakfast, I generally have cereal.

  11. toast

    french toast

    pancakes

    waffles

    bacon

    eggs

    sausage

    cereal

    oatmeal

    milk

    orange juice

    fresh fruits

  12. I usually have oatmeal.  But on the weekends we sometimes have biscuits, white gravy, fruit jelly, country ham, sausage or bacon.  Oh by the way, I live in the southeast part of the USA.

  13. There's two answers to this.

The typical breakfast a normal American household eats on any given day is usually going to be a bowl of cereal.  That is definitely the most common.

But a typical "special" breakfast (on a Saturday morning, or Sunday brunch or something) is generally one of the following:

-Pancakes, side of eggs and meat (either bacon or sausage)

    -Biscuits and white gravy

-Egg and Cheese omelette, sometimes with fillings (tomatoes, bacon, onion, etc)

Muffins and coffee is generally the "on your way to work" breakfast.
