Typical day for kids in Australia?

I'm doing a report on it and I need the typical day of a kid from about 11-13 years old in Australia. Anyone know? And do they really go to school from 9:20 a.m. to 3:20 a.m.? Thanks!

Typical Day for my Kids .

Wake up around 6 30  - 7 am eat breakfast get dressed for school etc.

Leave for school 8 30 am My 11 yr old rides to school.

School bell rings 8 47 for line up then at 8 50 for go into class.

recess is at 11 am for 1/2 hour

Lunch at 1 pm for an hoour ( we dont have School meals in AU they take cut lunches)

Bell goes 3pm schools out

then its home & after school activities & any homework needing to be done.

Some dinner & bed is at about 8 pm

Im actually 13 turning 14 and i go to school 8:50-3:15. after school i might go to my friends house or go to the shops near my school with friends. on weekends we go to the movies. its basically the same as any other country.

School can be anywhere from 8.00am till 4.30pm but the norm is 9.00am - 3.00pm. I went to a catholic school where it was 9.00am - 3.30pm.

Most kids wake around 7.00/7.30 watch cartoons while they have breakfast and get dressed. Either catch the bus, walk to get a life from a parent to school. Recess is around 11.00am for 20mins, lunch at 1.30pm for 40mins. In the afternoons they play sport, play playstation, watch tv, do homework, have dinner, shower then bed.

At 11 - 13 years of age they could be at either primary school or highschool. Primary school is years K - 6 Highschool is 7-12. You usually start highschool in the year you turn 12 if bday before may or the year your turn 13 if bday after may.

That was the approx times for me at that age. I grew up in a small country town in NSW near Bathurst. I used to walk home from school for something to do - took about 40 mins.

Used to do alot of walking actually. Used to walk to railway line (no trains though) and walk through paddocks.

I am 25 although with that sentence i sound about 80.

But that was it school during the day, muck around in the arfternoon. And the same on weekends.
