  1. You will start your day early.  Perhaps about sunrise the porter will bring in a pastry tray and some tea.  Once you have broken your fast, there will be an opportunity for some invigorating exercise and then a proper breakfast.

Later, your drill assistants will offer you a choice between a wide variety of activities.  You can indulge, or if you just feel like relaxing, you can send your porter out to represent you in the activities while you relax.

Lunch is usually primitive, but dinner is done properly.  They will expect you to dress properly unless you take the meal in your rooms.  It is likely you will need to submit a menu card detailing your preferences between lobster, filet and whatnot.

Enjoy the Air Force.  Thanks for serving.

  2. to be honest, you will do so many different things that there is no typical day. The only thing typical is you will be up at 0400 and in bed at 2300 or so when all of your tasks are done. Each week in BMT has different stuff going on, so you cannot really say what a typical day is or think that every day would be the same, as it is not.

The mental stress they put on you is a lot, the physical part isn't too bad, but I always shoot for the highest standard, therefore make it hard for myself. My wife is in BMT right now and I graduated from it in 2002. the best way to get a detailed schedule of what AF BMT is like is to enlist and see for yourself. You will be glad you decided to join, it is a great thing to be a part of.
