Typical wedding ring cost?

What is a normal amount to spend on a wedding ring guys?

I have a dream ring in mind but don't want him to freak.

It depends.  Do you want to wear your band with your engagement ring?  If so - is your "dream ring" going to match?  Will it overpower your engagement ring?  Is it a diamond band?  What is it made from? Gold, Platinum, Silver??  Once you answer these questions and shop around, you may have a better idea

"Typical" for people with money... or people who want to look like they have money... or for people that will spend what they can afford.  

You & he need to sit down & talk budget.  If you want something more than you can afford, shop around and look for a deal.  

Remember: a wedding is a day - marriage is a lifetime.  Concentrate on the marriage and you'll be ok!

i bought my bridal set used for 240$ lol, so it's all relative. Note I could have afforded more, I just didn't have the interest to. I think average costs run around what the wedding planner said above me. As long as you and your fiance are happy and not endetted by the ring, I say it's all good.

Anything even close to $1,000 is too much. I bet you have an expensive "dream wedding" in mind as well? How about a dream house and dream retirement fund?

depends if you want rocks, and which type of metal you want, as well how elaburate etc

i sugest that you talk it over what you prefer as its something you are going to be wearing for life, and it should mather for both

my bf often say its a chick thing considered cultural, but when i sit him down and force him to have an opinion he actualy do ...so dont buy into the whole whatever makes you happy, sit him down and show him that his opinion mather as well, i think guys often feel they are expected to just go along and take whatever comes

it is appropriate for him to buy what he can comfortably afford.  Don't ask him to go in the poor house just so you can have a nice ring....there are more important things in life than jewelry!

For a guy, depends how much he likes bling. It can be 100 and up - closer to 500-1000 if you want to get him diamonds. And don't worry, he won't 'freak' - hopefully he'll be pleased you chose something special for him!

a ring is not more important than the person you are marrying, my advice is pick out a simple nice cheaper ring and after the marriage progresses he will get you something beautiful.
