  1. Typically, it would be only one person.

    But it sounds like you want to know if more than one person can live in a studio. If that's what you want, the only way you will find out if it's OK is to ask the landlord of the particular studio apartment you're thinking of whether or not it's OK if more than one person lives there. It has nothing to do with what's "typical". If the landlord allows it, you could have *double* what the "typical" number is.


  2. the standard here (you don't say were you are) is 2 people per bedroom plus one, and the plus one is intended to mean a baby.

    Depending on the size of the studio I would say no more than a couple and MAYBE a small child if the space is really big.

    Think about it  - how any people would you really want to live that close to with no privacy???

  3. It would depend on the size of the apartment and on the local zoning codes.  Check with the local zoning commission or city/county clerk for the appropriate regulations.
