Typically, how much do vespas cost and where can i get one?

i was just looking around on ebay for one and there is one that is about 2000 and theres another thats 500, which is 40 years old but restored, the other is 20 yrs old i think. is something wrong with the 500$$ one? y wud it b this cheap?

  1. New entry level 50 cc Vespa is $4100. Unless you are mechanically minded, be careful of a 40 year old scooter. Go to the factory website, input your zip code and look for a dealer. Ask the dealer to help you find a 3-5 year old scooter.


  2. Vespas are pricey. There are dealer for the brand new, ebay and craigslist are good. Ebay there are the foreign Vietnam rebuilders that sell the classic scooter for $2500 to $3000 dollars. Some rebuilders in the states to. I say that it's not too bad. Never ridden a Vespa but I say like BMW and Mercedes in cars you are paying for a name. I say stick with local Craigslist, something will pop up. But don't  expect to see anything less than $1500.
