Typing Using Windows XP?

Question

Does anybody know how, or is it even possible to format Wordpad or Notepad so that when one types, the words appear every other line...in otherwords, can you make the writing skip a line between each typed line??? I'm typing a manuscript and it MUST be typed every other line or the publisher won't even look at it.

that would be "double spacing"

in microsoft word or the simple wordpad, you can type Ctrl+2 to make the text double space, and Ctrl+1 to turn it back.
