Tyra Cool seeking victory in the Killahan Phanter At Stud 525 Final at Shelbourne Park on 31st March
The Killahan Phanter At Stud 525 Final is to be staged at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards on 31st March. The prize money for the race is set at €1, 000. Taking up the challenge tonight is Ballyhill Seles, Lolos Hope, Swords Star, Tyra Cool, Kereight
Bear and Beany Tunes.
One of the most convincing entries for the race tonight is Tyra Cool, Big Daddy Cool’s three-year-old black and white daughter out of mare Tyrur Betty. She broke into the season on 15th January and scored second in a 525 yards race which was won
by Riverside Mary who successfully clocked the distance in 28.86 seconds. The winner and the runner up were adrift by only a head’s difference.
Not waiting very long for posting a victory on the record, Tyra Cool bagged the very next race. She won a 525 yards race on 22nd January by reaching the other end of the wire in 29.01 seconds. The winner led the runner up of the race, Airforce
Angel, by half a length.
Not being able to sustain the level of performance that Tyra Cool displayed, she was quite disappointing in the three next races that came her way. Coming fourth twice and then finishing sixth eventually, the worst.
Finally on 24th March, Tyra Cool won the Killahan Phanter At Stud 525 Semi-Final at Shelbourne Park by timing the track distance in 28.66 seconds while leading by a slight neck’s margin from the runner up, Beany Tunes.
The runner up took 28.68 seconds to race across the wire.
Concluding the race third was the 7/4 favourite of the race, Swords Star, who joined the winner after racing for 28.80 seconds.
Today Tyra Cool will be racing her seventh start of the season and needs to bag her third victory through it.
Another entry on the lineup who needs to be seriously considered is Lolos Hope, Westmead Hawk’s three-year-old black son out of b***h Lolos Choice. He won on 10th March last time and since then has scored third in the last two starts. He might
just be planning to come back into form tonight.
