  1. wy not just get the tire fixed?

  2. It's written inside the petrol cap or inside the petrol station, but if you put 30 in then it's never going to be far off for any car!

  3. 30

  4. Do a search, plenty of tyre pressure sites. And get the puncture fixed, it's only a tenner.

  5. 30psi

You can get the tyre repaired at a tyre place quite cheaply - much cheaper than a new one certainly, I wouild do that before the puncture hole gets too big and you get a flat as you are driving - and then you have the risk of damaging the tyre and needing a new one. Repair takes about 10 mins to do, just go in and ask if they can repair a puncture

  6. If it's a slow puncture it'll only cost about £5.00 to get it repaired. You may not have to get a new tyre. If you leave it though and keep pumping it up from time to time it may get worse and all of a sudden it's major.

  7. It tells right on the side of the tire. It's not in your manual because tire company's set the pressure. If the tire manufacture don't know the proper air pressure for the tires they make the car manufacturer sure don't.

  8. For that model, it's 30psi both ends.  For "load & speed", 32psi all round. For heaven's sake get your puncture fixed before you wreck the tyre.

(It's not "right on the side of the tire", it IS in the manual because the manufacturers set the pressures relevant to the car. It's also usually on a sticker in the door jamb, filler cap or glovebox)

  9. Ooh this takes me back to when i worked on the farm with about 120 bulls. I read some of the answers and it smells just like the farm did...

There is no 'rule of thumb' for tyre pressures.

The tyre will have the maximun pressure on the trye wall, not the pressure for your car. How on earth will the tyre manufacturer know what car it's tyre is on?

My Landrover Discovery (a large 4x4) has 26psi front and 34psi in the rear tyres.

My Lotus Elise used to have 26psi front and 27.5psi rears.

And yes, the half psi does make a difference.

You need to run your tyres with the correct pressures for maximum grip and life. If you run a tyre under inflated you will wear out the outer edges of the tyre. If over inflated you will wear out the middle of the tyre. If your pressure is a long way from the manufacturer's recommended pressure the police in the UK can fine you.

Most garages have a chart which shows car tyre pressures next to the airline. A quick call to a Fiat dealer will be able to tell you what pressures you need, or pop down to Halfords and buy your self a workshop manual. It will tell you what pressures for all sizes of tyres fitted to your car.

If you have alloy wheels fitted to your car, it could be the wheel that is causing your problem. Either corrosion along the rim or the wheel itself could be porous.

  10. Call your local tire shop, also some of these pressures are inside the door jam, or the gas door area.

  11. 32-34 psi.

Get the puncture fixed quickly, or end up paying for a whole new tyre.

  12. small cars the tyre pressure would be around 30 the larger the car the higher the tyre pressure large 4x4 would be nearer 38-40.

As long as you dont go crazy your tyre pressure doesnt have to be exact. 30-32 would be acceptable.

  13. Most cars have psi. on the drivers side door post near the latch if its not, then the rule of  thumb is 32lbs. but take the car to a tire shop most now days will fix a flat for free in hope of getting your businesses, go in and ask them to put air in the tire for you and i bet they will take it from there

  14. It is usually on the inner edge of the tire

  15. Go io the gas filling guys who will check the pressure ? Authorised pressure must be included in the documernts of the veh? Or check on veh you see when you open the doors?

  16. It should be on a sticker on the inside of one of the front doors of the car.  Most cars have them.  Hope this helps!

  17. Looks as if a lot of people are guessing. I won't tell you what I think the pressures should be Because you haven't mentioned the tyre size- a very important factor.
