  1. You can get a foam from most bike stores that will make it possible to finish your ride before you have to fix the puncture.

  2. You know, I'd skip the puncture kit and just carry spare tubes, it way quicker.  With the repair kit, you got to locate the hole, repair it, wait for it to bond, (if it bonds), put the tire back on and hope it doesn't  let out.  Just replace the tube and the guessings over.  Batta Bing Batta Boom, your on your way.

    I

  3. go to a large bike store buy some tire gel that is sutable for putting in innertubes unless it is tubless tyre. then take the valve out of your tyre wait untill it has gone down then squeeze the gell into the tyre and re inflate. good luck

  4. Have your tubes filled with Dr. Sludge or Slime tyre sealent, next time you buy tyres, buy ones with some puncture proofing.

  5. You can mend a puncture while the wheel is still on the bike, but its tricky (take the tyre off the rim, inflate the inner tube, slowly rotate the weel and listen for the air hissing out then mend with a patch), howeverit isnt the easiest thing to do.

If you get a puncture while you are out best way is to put a new inner tube in (I carry one while off road mountain biking), pump it up and go off again, or use a temporary fix, like tyre weld toget you home or to the car again.

Oh, I seam to remember seeing a sort of inner tube that was more like a balloon for replacing one if you cant get the wheel off - take the trye off the rim, thread the inner tube in and put the valve where the old one was and inflate the new one and go off again.

You can get a thick plastic strip that you put between the tyre and inner tube that stops a lot of thorns getting through, that seamed to work OK.

Im not sure about the Kevlar puncture system - it could be like the plastic strip idea

  6. Get a can of 'Tyre weld', and that will help until you reach a safe place to strip the bike.
