Tyrur Sippy to extend the hat trick through the Owlerton Bookmakers Puppy 500 at Sheffield
The Owlerton Bookmakers Puppy 500 will be staged at Sheffield over 500 metres flat on Tuesday, 29th May. The line-up for the race is highly competitive in a manner that some are racing today right out of a training session while others are contesting
after having bagged the most recent race.
Competing for the £200 prize money are Ballymac Eske, Bowtime Jagger, Tyrur Skippy, Glow Of Summer, Ballymac Boy and Worsboro Diva.
The most promising entry for the race is Tyrur Skippy, Brett Lee’s two-year-old black son out of b***h, Tyrur Lisa. He got drilled over 525 yards at Shelbourne Park on 14th January which he timed in 29.12 seconds.
It did not help much as he could not win the race but did achieve the next best by scoring second in a 525 yards race at Shelbourne Park on 26th January. The race was won by Daddy Knowsbest.
His first success of the season was in the Grade A2 Paddy Power Online Customer Support A2 525 on 9th February at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards.
He timed the track distance in 29.38 seconds and led the runner up of the race, Bethany House, by one and a half lengths.
After missing on two more chances, Tyrur Skippy won the Grade A2 Bernard Barry Bookmaker A2 525 Round 1 Heat 4 on 7th March at Shelbourne Park. He was done racing in 29.05 seconds and cornered the 4/7 favourite of the race, Barefoot Duke, into
the runner up’s position while leading by two lengths.
After losing the very next race to a fourth position, the two-year-old struck a hat trick right away.
The first leg of the hat trick came in the form of the Grade A1 Shelbourne A1 525 on 21st March at Shelbourne Park over 525 yards. Tyrur Skippy was the 6/4 favourite of the race and clocked the distance in 28.70 seconds.
He then captured a 500 metres race at Sheffield on 14th April which he settled in 29.85 seconds and led by two and a half lengths.
Striking the final race, Tyrur Skippy won a 500 metres race at Sheffield on 23rd May by reaching the other end of the wire in 29.77 seconds. He led the track by four lengths.
Having raced just once after the training session boosts the chances for him to claim the race tonight.
