Tyson Fury: Forget David Haye, I’ll prove Wladimir Klitschko I’m the real deal – Boxing news
The current English heavyweight champion Tyson Fury believes the former WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye is not a true heavyweight.
The Hayemaker, Haye, recently lost his WBA heavyweight title by a unanimous points decision in a unification bout for the heavyweight titles against the IBO, IBF, WBO and Ring Magazine’s heavyweight champion of the world, Wladimir Klitschko, on July 2, 2011
at Hamburg’s Football Stadium in Germany.
Fury commented on Haye’s bout, which was held in front of a crowd of over 60,000 people. Haye, who has won 25 of his 27 fights including 23 by the way of a knockout, was seen in a survival mode for most of the time and Fury reckons it was not the way a heavyweight
boxer fights.
The 23-year-old Fury has won all of his 14 fights including 10 by the way of a knockout. Fury has shown his interest to fight Haye, as he wants to knockout the 30-year-old brash Londoner in the ring to prove himself as a superior fighter.
In the meanwhile, Fury also commented on his fight, which is scheduled against the British heavyweight champion, Dereck Chisora on July 23, 2011 at the Wembley Arena in London.
Fury claimed his fight with Chisora, which is the biggest fight of his career thus far, is going to be an explosive one. He remarked he will knockout Chisora in order to show people what they want to see.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “When you looked at how Haye boxed against Klitschko, it’s not how a true heavyweight with a true heart should fight but the British fans shouldn’t worry because I’m the coming force and I’ll show that when I knock
out Chisora. Then I want to knock out David Haye to prove to Wladimir that I’m the real deal.”
“If I had boxed the way Haye did I don’t think I could look at myself in the mirror ever again. But the fans can get to see a real heavyweight tear-up when I get it on with Chisora,” added Chisora.
