Tyson Fury claims he will beat Dereck Chisora first and then Wladimir Klitschko – Boxing news
The current English heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has claimed he can beat the IBF, WBA, WBO, IBO and Ring Magazine heavyweight champion of the world Wladimir Klitschko in the ring.
The 23-year-old Fury is currently set to face the Del Boy, Dereck Chisora, in an all-British bout on July 23, 2011 at the Wembley Arena. The winner of these two will most probably face the unified heavyweight champion of the world, Wladimir Klitschko.
Fury, who has won all of his 14 fights including 10 by the way of a knockout, is pretty confident of beating Chisora. He told the media it will be a hard fight on July 23 and he will show people what they want to see.
“Hopefully I'll redeem heavyweight boxing come July 23. I'm going to go in there and give fight fans a real fight, value for money and what they want to see,” Fury said.
Fury then commented on the recently held Wladimir-Haye unification bout for the heavyweight titles, which Dr. Steelhammer, Klitschko, won by a unanimous decision on July 2 at Hamburg’s Imtech Arena in Germany to become a unified heavyweight champion of the
world.
Fury believes Haye was a complete no match for the 6 ft 6” Ukrainian giant, Klitschko. He stated Haye did not really try to win the bout like he should have.
Though the Irish-English unbeaten pugilist Fury admitted Klitschko was far superior to Haye in all departments, he said he knows he can beat Klitschko.
“I saw the Haye-Klitschko fight and didn't think it was a great fight to be honest, a lot of people got conned for their money,” said Fury.
He added, “Haye didn't really get stuck in or try and win in my opinion, Klitschko did what he had to do and it was just a let-down for the British public. I know (Wladimir) Klitchsko can be beaten and I know I can beat him.”
Let’s see if Fury can really see off the British heavyweight champion, Dereck Chisora on July 23, 2011 as otherwise he will not be able to set up a clash against Wladimir Klitschko.
