Tyson Fury refuses Wladimir Klitschko and wants to take on David Price – Boxing news
The British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury has turned down the Unified IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine’s Heavyweight Champion of the world Wladimir Klitschko as he wants to take on Olympic bronze medallist David Price before getting
in the ring against Klitschko.
The unbeaten British prospect, Tyson Fury, recently outpointed the Del Boy, Dereck Chisora, via unanimous point’s victory to claim the British and Commonwealth titles on July 23, 2011 and Wladimir prior to the bout claimed he wants to take on the winner.
However the 22-year-old Fury, who has won all of his 15 professional fights including 10 by the way of a knockout, has told the media he is in no hurry to take on Wladimir right now.
The Irish-English pugilist, Fury, stated he likes to take on the unbeaten prospects, as he thinks a fighter always gets a lot of appreciation upon breaking someone’s unbeaten record. Fury in the meanwhile mentioned the likes of the Deontay Wilder, Nazim
Patrick and the Liverpudlian undefeated combatant, David Price.
“I like taking undefeated records, to be honest. So while we are setting up a Klitschko fight I won't mind fighting Daunte Wilder, or Nazim Patrick the young Canadian champion, or David Price the Olympic bronze medallist. There are plenty of undefeated guys
out there. I like these undefeated guys. No one can slate them,” Fury said.
In the end, the 6 ft 9” giant from Manchester remarked he will be fighting again in October 2011 as he wants to remain busy all the time.
He said, “I want to keep busy and I think keeping busy is the most important thing. So I'm just waiting for my hands to heal up, and then I'm going to be back in training and I should be fighting again by October.”
The Tyson Fury vs. David Price bout is certainly going to be an explosive one as both boxers have never been defeated in the ring. However, Fury’s fight with the 6 ft 6” Ukrainian giant Wladimir Klitschko will still pull more people into the arena.
Let’s see whether Fury signs a contract with Wladimir Klitschko after his October fight or not.
