Tyson Fury responds to Martin Rogan’s accusations of showing no respect – Boxing news
The current British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury has responded to the former Commonwealth heavyweight title holder Martin Rogan who accused Fury and his promoter Mick Hennessy of showing no respect for him during their negotiations.
The 40-year-old Entertainer, Rogan, who has won 14 of his 16 professional fights, with 7 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, was a surprise guest at the press conference and before the conference even started, he turned down Fury’s offer for the
fight by accusing the Brit and his promoter of showing no respect.
However, the undefeated 6 ft 9” giant, Fury, who has won all of his 15 professional fights, with 10 of his wins coming by the way of a knockout, did not lose his temper at any point.
Rogan not too long ago passed on a lot of statements against Fury and the Manchester’s pugilist never shouted back. Therefore, Fury calmly responded to Rogan by saying he never says anything behind somebody’s back as he is a man of honour.
Fury, who is looking for a potential opponent for a clash at King’s Hall, in the end said to Rogan he still wants to fight and will wait for his response.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “Me and you have always had a decent relationship, I came over and sparred you when I was 17 years old. We had a nice chat in London but then you come back to Belfast and say you're going to knock my face in, yet
I never said a thing about you.”
“I am a man of honour and if I want to say something I'll say it to a man's face. The fight is open to you, so take the fight,” he added.
All that is left to see is whether Martin Rogan, who is also known as the Iron man, will set up a fight with Fury or not, because if the bout happens it will certainly be an explosive one.
