Tyson Fury wants David Haye next – Boxing News
Former British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion Tyson Fury wants to go head to head with David Haye in November. Previously, Fury was being scheduled for a match against fellow British fighter David Price but he refused.
“We are looking to return in November. We have a few American fighters in mind, but we are hoping to get David Haye or [former world title challenger] Tomasz Adamek to take the fight. If they don't want it, then there are other name fighters who we will
look at,” said Peter Fury Tyson Fury’s uncle and trainer, to World Boxing News.
He added, “So much for Tyson avoiding David Price because he is too good, when he is looking to fight the likes of Haye.”
Tyson Fury is currently under attack by critics for his decision of not fighting David Price earlier this year. However, Peter Fury believes Tyson  has nothing to prove against Price, and therefore there is no reason the Irish champion would avoid him.
David Price is scheduled to face Audley Harrison in September for his first title defence. On the other hand, Tyson Fury is looking forward a showdown against David Haye, which is quite impossible as of now. David Haye is currently looking forward to fight
Vitali Klitschko, the current WBC heavyweight champion.
Haye recently knocked out Dereck Chisora in the fifth round and is now eyeing a showdown against Vitali. The former British heavyweight titlist insists he would hang up his gloves if he does not get a fight against Vitali.
“If a fight with Vitali happens down the line then fantastic. If it doesn't, then I've been the undisputed cruiserweight champion and the heavyweight champion of the world,” said Haye in his recent interview.
Haye believes he is done everything in his career to cement his legacy and now only a match with Vitali Klitschko will hold him back in the division. On the other hand, Tyson Fury wants Haye to prove his mettle.
If Fury gets a fight against Haye, it will be an opportunity for him to cement his legacy against one of the best heavyweights of Britain.
