They are both washed up, but both are in the best ever category. Would you watch it? Will it happen?

  1. no, I dont watch freakshows where the results have no effect on today's boxing scene.

Holyfield definently has more left in the tank than Tyson, atleast last year he was somewhat relevant.

  2. i would watch it if it was for free....

  3. It is never going to happen, that would be an insult to the sport of boxing and both Tyson and Holyfield know this, they would never degrade themselves to such level....nobody wants to see two old and washed up legends duke it again, it would be like watching Tyson vs Holyfield 1 in slow motion.

  4. not worth it    both are done  no point!

  5. what about the last fight that roberto duran and sugar ray lenord fought no one even remembers that fight they did fight 3 times holifield would win he is still in better shape than tyson both are washed up but tyson is more washed up

  6. Yeah, they were both past their primes 10 years ago, and washed up 5 years ago. They may fight for money, Tyson is open to it, Holyfield also said he was too. I don't know if I would watch it. But not as a real boxing match if I did. More for the "tough man" type of appeal.

This reminds me, in the late '90's, George Foreman was going to fight Larry Holmes. Another two dinosaurs. There was even talk of a "senior" division". There is an appeal to the general public though to see freak shows. Maybe Holyfield-Tyson III should be on Celebrity Boxing or something.

If Holyfield-Tyson III happened, Holyfield would come in to fight and win. Tyson would come in and take a beating for money. I'd love it if he tried, but he wouldn't.

  7. No one is living on past glories and the other is a former thug who still doesn't have a clue.  No way should this ever be put up for viewing.

  8. The likeliness of such a bout taking place is very slim due to a number of reasons. Firstly Mike Tyson has lost the heart to fight, before he was a fighting machine now he's a plain animal who has enough problems sadly, and could not afford to face another one such as a bout.

Holyfield, yeah he was good before but now he's just a washed up boxer who isn't getting enough attention in boxing and quiet frankly should be calling it quits for his own good.

I would say there would be alot of publicity around the bout if it managed to happen but it would not deliver. Two men 40+ years old, no way unless Mike Tyson did something obscene it would go down as one of the upsets and disgraces in boxing.
