Okay you are kidding right. Even though the Union pushed the issue Tyson should have never cave in to that demand. Labor day was created to celebrate the American Worker. To celebrate those who worked hard to get America to where it is today. America the leader in technologies and inventions. Those of us who used our sweat to build the inventions. Those of us who build the machines that make it faster to process your products. You who work in the office their. All of us who make America Great. Even those of you who wrote these stupid contracts. Why would you choose Labor day and not Martin Luther King day. Maybe not to insult the African Americans. Ok why not choose Memorial Day. Oh no we can't get the veterans upset with us. Ok lets choose Thanksgiving. No not the American tradition of giving thanks. I could go on and on for each day. So why do you the Union and Tyson foods feel it is ok to insult the American workers by changing the day that celebrates Labor to another Religious Holiday? I will continue my boycott and tell every other laborer in America to do the same and tell others.

  1. Just wondering?  Would a Muslim owned corporation drop a holiday and replace it with a Christian holiday?  I think not.

  2. I guess the next thing is to cancel Christmas, they already have Wal-Mart employees saying "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas" What an incredible insult. Labor day stands for the American Worker. Why not celebrate some important Muslim holiday on 9/11? I will not buy Tyson food products. I am disgusted. Also, this is insidious, people who don't see that are living in La La land.

  3. Thanks for letting me know this I won't be buying tyson products again either. There is no justification to change ANY AMERICIAN HOLIDAY ANYWHERE just one company or not.It has nothing to do with democracy, but alot to do with our country. If they don't like it here the way it is they are free to leave!

  4. Tyson is probably afraid if they don't give in to the workers demands they might get blown up.

  5. Even though the majority of the workers at that plant are Muslim and even though some people will still get Labor Day off, I am never buying another Tyson product.  This is exactly what the minds behind the infiltration and conversion of our country to Islam have said they would do.

And I'm fed up with it.

  6. The Muslims constitute a majority of workers at the plant. They asked for a holiday. Management, I assume, said you can take whatever days you want ... as long as you don't take more than six (or whatever).

Well, majority rules. The union might have to do some educating of the workforce to teach them the importance of the labor movement in this country, but that's democracy.

I've worked on Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's Day, etc. in my job. It's not ideal, but I'm working. Sometimes that's the way it goes.

  7. it is a sad state of affairs.  but on a good note, it shows how we are after terrorist and not Muslims,  it will take a while before the USA realizes they are actually one in the same.  no offense.  LMAO

  8. For all of you who are boycotting Tyson....Great....Buy Perdue Chicken. It is much healthier and the taste is by far better. I am not going to leave a comment on who should do this or that. I will say, that as a Christian we are to Love God and Love People. We respect them but that does not mean we agree or believe in what they do. If you are a Christian and you have read all of this going on.....it is another example of it being time to step up and get in the fight for Jesus. We are to fight with love as our weapon in how we speak. Our defense is the Holy Spirit. Therefore, you will never lose. We must start being much bolder and quit letting others have this kind of influence. Be Bold for Christ....He loves you and we need to to be vessels for God to use to spread His love into others who are lost.

  9. I don't care that the other 118 plants didn't adopt this holiday.  If the package says "Tyson", I won't buy it.  How dare they???  If the good Muslims in that plant want the last day of Ramadan off, they should ask for it.   Will Christmas be next?  Exchanged for what?  Mohammed's birthday?

  10. I wonder exactly what percentage of Tyson employees are muslim that would require or benefit from this? My feeling is that its a very low percent and that just a few people working at Tyson were for this, probably had demanded and threatened to sue over it thus got their way.

  11. A simple boycott of Tyson is in order. I won't be buying anything of theirs until the Labor day is restored and the Muslime (intentionally mispelled) stuff is out. Let them work the same as all others or leave.

  12. A day off is a day off.You can come up with any stupid reason for a day off and I'll stay home.

  13. From AP news:

Tyson officials said that approximately 250 of the plant's 1,200 employees are Somalis who entered the United States as political refugees. Most, if not all, are believed to be Muslim

Since when is 250 a majority of 1200? I would have thought that the 950 would be considered the majority.

I'm going to start demanding altars in all public places. Shouldn't I have my rights, too?

  14. I work for Tysons foods and I can honestly say here in Arkansas where most  Tyson plants are located there are no unions and we are not even to speak about a union for reasons like this.We are not muslims so no we have no muslim holiday. Most of us are just country folk.

  15. I'm glad they took my advice.
