  1. ali would do to tyson what he did to foreman.......tyson might last  2 rounds longer.

  2. Muhammad Ali would knock mike tyson out probably the fifth round.

  3. IF Ali can manage to keep Tyson at bay, using

his beautiful Jab, going in and out, and fighting from the outside meaning hes using his  reach & height to his advantage for the first 3-5 rounds

I believe that Ali would win, Later in the fight.

If  Tyson were able to manage his way inside

of Ali and pressure Ali by moving him back using his left hook then sweeping up with a right uppercut he would win.

By Ko. But only if he kept a ridicoulusly amount of relentless overwhelming pressure on Ali.

Which means he would waste a Lot of energy  so this can only be done in the first 3-4 rounds. Before he tires himself out.

I guess ill never really know.

  4. This question is getting very tired. Simply put Tyson's best wins were against a old Holmes and a blown up lightheavy weight Spinks. he devastated a lot of overmatched fighters! Then he got knocked out at 24yrs old by a journeyman fighter, Buster Douglas. He lost to an older Holyfield 2x and Lewis once! He never knocked out a great fighter in their prime!

Ali best wins Liston 2x, Williams, Frazier, Norton 2x, Foreman, and Shavers. His losses in his prime were to Frazier and Norton, although both were after his 3 year layoff due to his draft status. When he came back, he was slower & not able to stay on his toes and move as fast with his legs. Thats why Frazier's style bothered him. His perpetual movement and heart kept him coming at Ali. Tyson didn't fight that way. Tyson had more power than Frazier but not the heart or desire to keep coming as he was being hit. Power didn't bother Ali, nobody Ko'd him until his corner threw in the towel when he fought Holmes at 38yrs old.

Ali before the layoff doesn't lose to Frazier. He moved like a middleweight, but had some KO power. The fact that he slowed a little as his body got thicker (as we all do) which forced Ali to rest at times, allowing Frazier to work the body.

But we are talking Ali at his best vs Tyson at his best. Then we have to look at Ali in 1967 or so, he be on his toes in & out as nobody before or since has. He would be frustrating & taunting Mike to no end. Mike would probably try to hit him with the ring post. Tyson would be swinging from his heals go for the Ko. As Ali played mind games and made Tyson miss. Then picking him apart.

A pre layoff Ali. Ko's Tyson quicker than you can say Buster Douglas!

  5. i think tyson might stun ali...but with ali's footwork and amazing jab i believe he would frustrate tyson and win by tko in the 8th

  6. Tyson, his power and anger was unstoppable back in his prime, ali was amazing but tyson would win hands down!

  7. I think ericktravel has got this almost spot on in his analysis, but I see Ali winning by TKO around round 11.

  8. Ali would give him a first class boxing lesson in his prime.

  9. Buster Douglas beat Mike Tyson in Mike's prime.  You insult Ali with this question.

  10. Ali with out a doubt , tyson is an Animal and a savage , but ali is more skilled and he would kick tyson's butt , its not only about power and agressiveness , the smarter is the winner

  11. no doubt about it, ALI wins this one hands down!!! while Tyson was admittedly simply overwhelming with his power and aggression, ALI had more hall of fame quality opponents than Tyson.

ALI was a three time champion who fought, sonny liston, archie moore, joe frazier, george foreman, ken norton, floyd patterson, leon spinks among others.

As for Tyson, he did have his share of hall of fame quality opponents but he lost most of these fights.

  12. The result of the Yahoo readers poll survey of the top ten greatest heavyweight of all time are: #1 Muhammad Ali, #9 Mike Tyson. This is by all yahoo readers, not just the boxing section, so majority rule. Muhammad Ali should defeat Mike Tyson. Ali always have success against great punchers like Sonny Liston and George Foreman. Muhammad Ali by late round stoppage.

  13. Anybody who says Tyson would win has no idea what there talking about and no boxing knowlege.  Tyson would have got schooled and embarrassed.  Tyson couldnt even handle an old Holyfield

  14. Ali hands down. Buster Douglas beat Tyson using his jab and reach Ali had a 80 something reach. plus Ali had and great chin

  15. TYSON ---- i think

  16. It would be Tyson.  He's a vicious fighter.  And I think he would catch Ali with a wide left hook like hoe Frazier knocked Ali down.  He's just too powerful for Ali.  Even on Ali's prime you wouldn't see him as aggressive as Tyson.  He would just dance around you, throwing jabs and eventually tire you.  But Tyson would cut him and catch him really soon that Tyson wouldn't have enought time to tire himself.  I'd just bet on Tyson.

  17. no

Muhammad Ali would teach him a good lesson son

  18. tyson if he could catch Ali in the first 3 rounds...Ali if it went any further

  19. tyson.. that guy is crazy. even if ali is more skilled, tyson is so aggressive! dude, two ears pulled off??? harrassed his wife? wtf

  20. This questions gets asked every week lol,but this is how it would probably turn out,in his prime Ali relied on speed and foot work to beat his opponents even though he had a lot of knock out power, Tyson relied on power and accuracy getting inside and unleashing devastating uppercuts and body shots until he got the chance to punch the h**l out of his opponent's skull. Tyson probably had more knock out power but Ali was a lot smarter, as always Tyson would start the fight as the aggressor and attack Ali immediately forcing Ali to retreat while dodging Tyson's punches, for some reason Ali always had trouble with aggressive in fighters, he could handle people like Liston and Shavers but always found it difficult against the stubborn in fighters (like Joe Frazier) and this weakness would show in this fight, Ali liked to control the pace of the fight from the outside and tyson was never the kind of boxer that you could keep away for long periods of time, his peek a boo style was a lot faster and better than frazier's (Frazier usually moved up and down to dodge while tyson moved side ways most of the time) and Tyson's stocky body made his peek a boo all the more effective, he would have given Ali h**l for the first few rounds probably score a knock down early in the rounds......BUT.....Ali was no ordinary boxer, the toughness of his chin was surpassed only by his willingness to win and this is what would make the difference in this fight, Tyson was a boxer who was used to winning,he never handled frustration well and when a fight didn't go his way he always got impatient and looked for the knock out punch, Ali on the other hand was very patient and usually wore his opponents out while waiting for a clean opening to land some serious punches towards the 5th round Tyson would get frustrated and begin a vicious assault on Ali (A la jack Dempsey) hoping to catch him with an uppercut or a strong right jab (ironically this was his favorite punch but rarely won fights with it) Ali would constantly move around avoiding Mike's most dangerous hits with his amazing relfexes (in his prime Ali's reflexes were not human I have a video on youtube were he dodges a series of strong jabs just by moving his head as if he was seeing the punches come in slow motion......seriously.....just like neo in the matrix) eventually Mike would wear out and just as he brings his hands back to rest Ali would land a quick combination on Mike's jaw, that would rock him tremendously.mike tyson.would be startled by this and he will get intimidated....something he is not used to and this is when  Ali would start playing his mind games,Mike would try and play it smart with Ali (bad move) and keep chasing him around but by then Ali would have figured him out and simply keep him at bay with the jabs while occasionally mounting a convincing counter offense.....this fight would probably end in a draw (not likely though) or a split decision victory for Ali ( Tyson would have thrown the most punches, and would have been the aggressive fighter but Ali would have landed more clean shots and won most of the later rounds .....similar to how Mayweather wins a lot of his fights) it would be an interesting match because both boxers knew how to put up a great fight.
