The most credible entry for the race is U Make Me Smile, Westmead Hawk’s four-year-old blue son out of b***h, Fear Mykeo. He rolled into the new season by qualifying as the 5/4 favourite runner up of the Crayford Bookmakers Stayers Stakes at Crayford over 714 metres on 7th January.

On 7th February, the four-year-old won a 714 metres race at Crayford by completing the trip in 45.81 seconds. He led the runner up of the race, Creamery Quest, by 1 ¾ lengths.
After finishing fifth in the next two races, U Make Me Smile was trained over 540 metres at Crayford on 21st March and he completed the task in 34.22 seconds.
The training session did serve the purpose as he won the Crayford Bookmakers Stakes on 7th April at Crayford over 540 metres by timing the track distance in 33.92 seconds.
He set the 11/10 favourite of the race into the runner up’s slot after he took 34.28 seconds to reach the other end of the wire.
Concluding the race third was Airforce Tom.
He yet again failed to claim the next three races by finishing third and then ending sixth in the next two chances.
Till now his last victory of the season came in through the most recent race. He won a Grade S1 540 metres flat at Crayford on 11th May by clocking the track distance in 34.38 seconds. The 7/4 favourite winner of the race led the runner up, Snowdon Rose, by one and a half length.
Tonight he has got the chance to strike the fifth win of the season.
