Ok so i have been arrested once for something very minor and got a fine for it, and i was planning to go to america in about 6 weeks time, but ive only just found out you need a visa if you have been arrested,

so i looked at the green I-P4W form you get on the plane and it says

'' Have you ever been arrested or convicted for an offense or crime involving moral turpitude or a violation related to a controlled substance; or been arrested or convicted for two or more offenses for which the aggregate sentence to confinement was five years or more; or been a controlled substance trafficker; or are you seeking entry to engage in criminal or immoral activities? ''

now ive read loads of things on the internet saying you HAVE to delare an arrest on the I-P4W form but i dont know what to do because if i ticked 'yes' thats lieing because what i did wasnt a moral turpitude or any of the other things it says. As i said it was very minor and i got a fine.

I dont know what to do because i dont have time to get a visa, but i dont want to be denied entry to the US because it will ruin my familys holiday, and i absoluty love the US so want to return many more times

i did go to my local olice station and asked and they said that it would be ok but im still unsure,

i appreciate any answrs but if you really now what your talking about on this subject i would appreciate it soooo much

Thank you x*x

  1. as long as you were not commited for a felony i.e larceny, murder, rape etc etc

you were probably charge with a misdemeanor like assault which is like not paying parking tickets and getting arrested when you get pulled over the next time

as long as you have not served extended time in jail you should be fine

  2. You can see the site below for a detailed list of what offenses are considered to be  offenses of moral turpitude.  i9f your offense is not on that list, you should be fine.
