Lets say these coins starts circulating, alot of people are saying that they will refuse to accept these coins as change, instead they will ask for a dollar bill. I don't know what to think, first it was the gasoline prices, now this ! I do wish they don't removed that section of the coin, it has been there for the longest time. On which side are you?

  1. Why not? Why does God need to be on the money anyway? I thought the whole point of Christianity and being true was to stray clear of vanity and possession, money is the devils toy my friend, and whats funny is people want God to say it's ok for them to use it or like it.. What the h**l. As an Orthodox Christian I would love that the word God was not put on the money, God and Money are two different things..

  2. I think that the most un-god-like thing we do is horde, cheat, rob, kill and do anything for money.  If you will remember, that Christ ran the money changers out of the temple, it should ease your mind.  The love of money is the root of ALL evil.  Also, the constitution calls for the separation of church and state.  It is hypocritical to associate anything God with State.  Religious freedom is the reason this country was founded, and now the right-wing Christians want to do what the Church of England did that caused the pilgrims to leave for freedom.  They want to have everybody subjected to religion their way.  If you can use the money for legal tender, it can have a picture of the devil on it, it is just a tool.

  3. They didn't remove the In God We Trust, it's on the edge, along with E. Plurbus Unum and the date and mint mark. If it is not on the edge it's a rare "godless" error Washington Dollar, the highest I've seen those selling for is $1,800.

To all you people who don't believe In God We Trust should be on US coins or currency because it is "unconstitutional," the Constitution clearly states that the US Government SHOULD  promote belief in religion, BUT not any one religion. Now, do Jews believe in a god, do Muslims believe in a god, do Hindus believe in a god? YES, all religions believe in an all powerful being/s that are classified as a god. SO yes indeed In God We Trust is constitutional, SO QUIT WHINING!

  4. That was a printing error. It isn't permanently removed.  It was only one batch of a few hundred coins that were then accidentally released into circulation.   It's on the new ones again.

If you have one, save it, it'll probably be worth more than a dollar in a few years.

  5. untrue.  link please.

Edit:  O.K., so your link proves that the phrase is not on one side of the coin.  "In God We Trust" DOES however appear elsewhere on the coin.  I don't understand what point you're attempting to make.  Do you?

  6. It's along the edge. Not that it really matters, since even if god exists, I don't think he'd be too happy about us putting his name on money. Calm down.
