U.S. Territories Geography Statistics?

Question

Does anyone know approximately what percent of U.S. citizens know any one of the U.S.'s territories (American Samoa, Puerto Rico, etc...)

Any approximate percent is great. I just need a starting number. (I'm guessing about 5%)

I don't have a figure that is fact-based, but this is my opinion that it's way more than 5% of U.S. Citizens who are aware of atleast one U.S. territory..Puerto Rico, Guam, The U.S. Virgin Islands etc. are very popular, especially the Virgin Islands..I know a lot of people who vacation there so it couldn't be as low as 5%..I would say a majority of teens and adults could name atleast one territory...just saying.

What % of US actually lives in the territories? Or the number of mainland US citizens who "know" of a person in foreign territories? And do military contacts count? That would make the number larger....

OK--including military I would say 10-12% have met someone from the territories. Just a an educated guess.

What do you mean? people who know these territories or know that these territories belong to the US?

i can't provide you with a number, you have to do a survey for this one.
