Q.No.28 - Who will pay for my trip?

I am paying for my studies. Financial transactions are in my name so do I write the answer as ''myself'' or ''family funds''?

Q, No. 30 - Have I ever been issued a visa?

I was issued an F1 visa some 2 years back which I never used because I couldn't go. I have never travelled to the U.S before nor have I ever applied for a visa before other than the F1 I got 2 years ago and now where I'm re-applying for a new F1.

So do I answer this question with a yes or a no?

Thank you.

  1. Q28. Write the name(s) of whoever is on the financial documentation you will be providing.

Q30. The key word is 'issued' and not 'traveled'. You were issued a visa, the answer is 'yes'.

  2. As for Q. 28 you can honestly say Myself once you can prove the source of such funds from your own employment or personal bank account. As for Q. 30 that is a definite Yes since a visa was issued in your name, never mind that you never utilized it for whatever reason. Expect to answer thoroughly why you never utilized that previous F1 visa though.
