U.S importance, and future developments?

What has been the importance of the U.S in the world today.

If it was up to you, what 2 areas of the world do you think the U.S should give close attention for future developements? why?

The U.S. is currently the primary super power.  We must accept that position with humility and always attempt to manifest policies and procedures which protect and preserve our country in a manner which also provides the greatest good for the rest of the world.

We must attempt to set the example for the rest of the world to follow, or at least concur with.  For example, we can choose to be the leader in championing major industrial and agricultural changes to improve the world's climate...
