I'm Ecuadorian but I live in the U.S. legally since I'm a permanent resident here. I want to go to Canada tomorrow and I'm worried they won't let me in just with my Ecuadorian passport and my green card =\ Does anyone know wether I should have applied for a visa to go to Canada or not? I'm only going for like 3 days, I live in NY and Toronto isn't too far. I'm taking the bus...

TIA!!!!

  1. U.S. green card holders do not need a visa to travel to Canada.  You may travel with your green card and photo i.d....the passport is fine.

    "Visitor Visa Exemptions

Many people do not require a visa to visit Canada. These include:

persons lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence who are in possession of their alien registration card (Green card) or can provide other evidence of permanent residence."

This is a direct quote from the site below.  Scroll down the page to section under "Visitor Visa Exceptions" and read the 2nd paragraph.
