  1. when i read that last week i thought they have i chance in a million to recover the data aboard

  2. Not sure I understand your question, but I think the real reason we are shooting it down is because we don't want any parts of it falling into the wrong hands.

I'm sure this thing is classified secret. When I was in the Navy I worked in ECM (electronic countermeasures) and when the public came through on tour the doors to that room were locked. They didn't want anyone to even see the equipment.

Of course the military is saying they are shooting it down because the fuel it contains is toxic. They also tried to say that most of the parts would burn up as it it comes down?

  3. I think its just a reaction to China when they showed that they could destroy a satellite. The US is just showing them we can do it too.

  4. You question doesn't make any sense, but it is a satellite the size of a small bus that will hit the Earth and spill toxic rocket fuel.  They will hit it before it enters the atmosphere so it will likely still fall to Earth, but in smaller pieces. I'm sure they also don't what other countries to recover the technology that we are using.

  5. It probably contains a bunch of pictures that you can get off of Google Earth, but they will give indications of what areas the United States is targeting in unfriendly territories. Just because the U.S. isn't planning to attack doesn't mean that they aren't prepared to attack if something comes up. Of course all of this is classified and I am just speculating.
