  1. Well...a fetus is a body part of the mother for some time. After birth the baby comes out by cutting the umbilical cord. At that particular time, the baby won't be part of the mother and rather it  will survive as another individual.

  2. a fetus is a unborn baby. not a body part.

  3. a fetus is some cells developping.

you can't say it's a part of the body because it's the whole body of the future baby.

as for the mother, it's not a body part.

because a body part like lungs, stomach, eyes have functions that the body needs and will be affected if they disappear.

but the fetus has no function and if it doesn't exist, nothing will happen to the mother. that's why it's not a body part.

it's a group of cells developping to form a baby inside the mother's body

  4. A fetus is a foreign body inside another body. A body part is something that is attached to the body and belongs to that body. The fetus will eventually grow and leave the body. A fetus is also alive , a human being so it is not a body part

  5. Obviously the heart is a part because it's pumping blood, I just found out "your skin" is considered a part because it's protecting and holding things together.  Now the fetus is like a house with the lights turned off.

When Dad comes home, he turns the lights on... correct?

So, therefore, unless the house is occupied it's doing nothing but sitting there being a house.   Dad's coming in the front door and then preforming an action changes the structure from a house to a "home".

A body part has to be doing "something" (or be on stand-by for action).

  6. a fetus is not a body part because you dont have it your whole life and its a unborn baby so yeah haha=]

  7. If you look at the definition of a parasite, you will see that essentially a fetus is a parasite and the mother is the host.
