I worked in UAE for 2 years and have come for a vacation last month and resigned in my company from India. My resignation is accepted by my company. My visa is not cancelled. Can I enter UAE next month with my existing visa? I do not know whether my company has cancelled my visa or not. My company has my bataka with them. I do not want to work for the same company and want to search a job there. Can I enter UAE with my existing visa? Or I need a new visit visa? My visa is not cancelled yet ( Or I dont know whether they have cancelled it or not ) If I want to enter UAE then what should I do now? If I find a job there, will my last company put a ban? if yes, what can I do then?

  1. Dear Friend

At first, you can't enter the country as of now.

Because, if the company accepted your resignation, they will cancel your work permit and visa, so you are not authorized to enter the country.

Secondly, you are not allowed to enter the country with another visa (even visit) without canceling the visa stamped on your passport officially. Better to contact your previous PRO for guidelines to cancel the visa. Or contact your nearest UAE embassy/consulate for guidelines.

Once your visa is canceled in your passport, there will be a minimum of 6 months employment visa ban (you can enter on visit visa) and it can be lifted by paying AED 3000 at the department. If the company is not yet canceled the visa/work permit, you may enter the country but the decision will be a risky one. If you are not coming back, the employment visa ban (6 months) will start only after completion of consecutive 180 days stay outside the country.

    Best of Luck

    Thx

  2. The company should have cancelled your visa and labour card as soon as you resigned so you are no longer their responsibility.  Depending on how long you were with that company, if you can't get a NOC letter, then you will have a 6 month ban in Dubai.  Make sure that if you have borrowed any money from the company, that you pay it back... or you could be blacklisted from ever entering the UAE.  If you find a new company to work for, and you have a ban, the cost is 5000dhs to have the ban removed.  Most companies are not willing to pay that amount, unless you are in a speciality field... in other words, if they can hire someone for the job without having to pay for a ban, who do you think they will choose?  You will probably need to send your passport to Dubai to get the cancellation of your visa.. or you could have problems reentering the country.  Check with you previous employer or PRO and see what needs to be done.
