ok so i took an art history class at a community college as a junior in high school and now im going to be a senior and i will be applying to many UC schols and i was wondering if the class i took can be used to meet the "fine arts" requirement? I recieved high school credit for the class but im not sure if it counts as a A-G requirement for the UC schools? Art history is included in the "fine arts" list but does it have to be taken in high school or can i just use the class i already took at the college to fullfil that requirement?

  1. If Art History is included in the "Fine Arts" list, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't matter whether or not you took the class at your high school or at a community college. Think of it this way -- if someone takes Physics at a community college, they will still get high school credit and the class will count towards their two years of Laboratory Science that the UCs require.
