UCSD or Cal Poly SLO: admissions?

SLO is definitely easier to get into, but sometimes it depends on your activities. SLO might not give you as much credit for a certain activity as UCSD will so some people actually get into UCSD but not SLO, but in general its the other way around. I didn't like the campus as much and ended up going to UCSD. The stereotypical poor social life at UCSD though it mostly true. So if you want an easier time having fun take SLO and if you are more interested in studying a ton for what would be considered a little better education go to UCSD

Cal Poly SLO is considerably easier and has over a 200 point lower SAT average than UCSD.
