UEFA Champions League Match Report: Chelsea vs Bayer Leverkusen – Part 2

seem to find the back of the net.
In the 57th minute, Leverkusen had their first real chance of the game. Ballack managed to beat the Chelsea off side trap, but just couldn’t beat Cech, who spread himself brilliantly to deny the midfielder from finding the back of the net.
In the 60th minute, it was the visitors who had the next great chance of the game. Schurrle went on to have a pop at goal, but Cech managed to produce another fine save to deny the visitors.
In the 67th minute, Torres went on to play a one – two with Luiz, who went on to curl the ball into the back of the net from twenty yards out. In doing so, he scored the opening goal for Chelsea in the game and even produced his first ever Champions
League goal for the Blues.
In the 81st minute, Anelka put the ball into the back of the net once again, but the refree ruled the goal to be scored from an off side position once again.
In the 3rd minute of stoppage time, Mata received a brilliant lay off from Torres and then tapped the ball into the back of the net.
As a result, Chelsea went on to win the game by a score line of two goals to nil and managed to get their Champions League campaign off with a brilliant victory at home.
