UEFA Champions League Preview: Inter Milan vs Werder Bremen

Inter Milan were preparing themselves to take on the German force of Werder Bremen at home. Inter are currently not playing as good as they had been at this point in the past, however Rafa Benitez being a partial expert on the
European level, claimed to have things under control, prior to the match.
Inter were also handed a bit of luck prior to the match. This was because of the fact that three of the star players on the Bremen side had been ruled out of the match. Those three players are Claudio Pizarro, Clemens Fritz and
Torsten Frings.
The Bremen manager was well aware of this fact and was also pretty clear on mentioning, how Inter were going to be clear favourites in the game. The manager was reported to have said: "We hope that all three get back as soon as
possible, but there is the risk that they will miss the next two games''
"Inter are the clear favourites and it is impressive what this team is capable of''
On the other hand, Rafa Benitez who had in quite simple words, been struggling to keep up with Jose Mourinho's reputation at the club, claimed that he was not going to be taking any chances in the game tonight. He also stated that
since every team in their group, managed to draw their matches in the opening week, it would be a good opportunity for his side to go top of the table, if they managed to contain and beat Bremen at the San Siro.
Benitez was reported to have said: "Werder Bremen are a team with a strong mentality and experience, it will certainly be a difficult game.
"I don't know the Werder Bremen coach personally but I do know that he has experience and quality.
"Every team in the group drew their first match, so everyone wants to win now. There's more pressure than before. However, we have the belief that we can win.''
Benitez and Inter will be turning to their most in form player at the moment, Samuel Eto'o, to lead the attack upfront and score that crucial goal that could see them win the game. Diego Milito managed to pick up an injury in training
and is rumored to be missing out on the match, unless he can pass a very late medical to prove his fitness to the coach.
The experts are siding with Inter to win the game prior to kick off, because of the simple fact that Inter are one of the most lethal teams at home and with Bremen missing three of their star players, Inter might prove to be a
giant hill that the Germans might fail to climb.
