UEFA Champions League Update: Barcelona’s Lionel Messi wary of Manchester United threat
Barcelona’s Argentine goal scoring machine, Lionel Messi has gone ahead and urged his team-mates to avoid underestimating the potential of Manchester United. The forward made these comments only days before the Catalans are scheduled to face off against
the Red Devils, in the finals of the 2011 Champions League tournament.
This match between the two sides, is going to be a repeat of the clash that occurred in Rome in the 2008 – 2009 season. Back then, Barcelona and United met in the finals, but the Spanish giants went on to leave the English club in their shadows as they beat
them by two goals to nil.
However, despite having scored one of the goals in that win, Messi feels that it is impossible to not consider/or give United a stake going into the game.
When talking about the upcoming game, Messi is quoted to have said:"They won the English championship and they are in the Champions League final”
“They can't be very weak if they have achieved all that.
"It is a final, it is a special match given what is at stake. The good memory of Rome is behind us. This will be a totally different match. We are facing a very strong adversary, which has very good players."

"We are facing a great rival with very good players. It's going to be a finely-balanced match."
The way things are shaping up, it would be impossible not to agree with Messi. Untied have gone on to shatter Liverpool’s English league record, after winning their nineteenth league crown and have reached the Champions League final once again, which means
that this is the third time in the last four years that the team made it into the finals of the tournament. No matter what way that is looked at, it is a rather amazing record.
In order to beat United, Barcelona are going to have to get their tactics down to perfection. This is because United have proven that if a team falters against them, they will not hesitate to finish them off.
At the same time, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 to be on his ‘A’ game during the match. This is because if Messi is playing at his full potential, then irrelevant of what United put up against him, he is going to end up emerging victorious.
Nonetheless, it is impossible to label any team as the favourites going into the finals, since both of them could end up brining the trophy home.
