UEFA Champions League match report: A.C Milan 2-0 BATE Borisov: 2nd half report

Three minutes later, the Belarusian Champions had another wonderful opportunity to get themselves on level terms. Bordachev skipped past his marker before releasing an angled shot but Abbiati got down and made a lovely finger tip save to clear the ball for
a corner kick.
The visitors looked a much better side in the early minutes of the second half as they dominated the possession and looked threatening going forward.

Robinho showed flashes of his skills immediately after coming off the bench and tried a bold effort from 20 yards but the strike went harmlessly over the bar.

to make it 2-0 for the Italians.
The second goal spelled victory for Milan as BATE’s men looked down and out after the former Portsmouth star’s effort. The goal-scorer was taken off minutes after his brilliant strike and Urby Emanuelson came onto replace him in the 79th minute.
Summer signing, Philippe Mexes, came on to make his debut for Milan as he replaced Nesta in the 85th minute. The last few minutes of the game witnessed no major action as Milan cruised to a comfortable win.
