UEFA to launch disciplinary hearing against Sergio Busquets for racial remarks against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marcelo-c23554

The four El Clasicos between Real Madrid and Barcelona may well have ended over a week ago but the reverberations of the clashes have not ended yet.
Although the cumulative honours were even from the four ties as each team managed to win one with two ending in draws but Barcelona will be feeling rather happy as they eliminated Real Madrid from the Champions League. Meanwhile, Real may find solace in
the fact that they won their first ever Copa del Rey trophy since 1993 by beating Barcelona.
After the high-octane first leg semi-final clash between the two Spanish giants, the media was in frenzy with all kinds of wrong headlines. Player clashes, row between the managers, three red cards shown in the match and even an accusation of racial abuse
by one of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 players.
Union of European Football Associations recently confirmed that they have launched a disciplinary case against Barcelona midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 over his alleged racist remarks towards Real’s Brazilian full back, Marcelo.
A video posted on the Real Madrid website after the first leg showed Sergio allegedly calling the Brazilian ‘mono’ (monkey) at some point during the match.
The disciplinary hearing will be held on Sunday with the verdict expected the next day.
The incident under debate is one of the many in an overly heated clash between the two archrivals which Barcelona went on to win in controversial circumstances.
After the match, both the Spanish clubs launched complains to the UEFA regarding each other’s behaviour in the match but the claims were rejected outright by the game’s governing body.
Madrid were left fuming after the match following Barcelona players’ reaction after every Real Madrid foul and a soft red card shown to Pepe when the scores were tied at 0-0.
Apart from the red card to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pinto-c30032 and Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho were both shown red cards for their part in the fracas.
After the UEFA’s rejection of the claims by both the parties, it was Real Madrid’s assistant coach who bemoaned the decision out in public by saying, “The match has been overshadowed by Uefa's resolution - it's on another plane now. We have been punished
[with the suspensions for Pepe, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Ramos-c33096 and Mourinho], but there are [Barcelona] players who didn't respect the principles of fair play or who made racist insults, covering their mouths, who will be on the pitch. We say over and over there are double
standards.”
In reply, Barcelona coach Josep Guardiola said, “Real might think we are unsporting but I think exactly the opposite. Fourteen of 20 players in the squad have grown up in this house and they all respect the values of the house.”
However, for the moment it looks like it is one of the house grown players who is in trouble and Guardiola may be forced to eat his own words.
