What are your thoughts? He's getting a title shot already. Does anyone know when 91 is gonna happen?

  1. This is complete political and money B.S. by the UFC. Judomofo has it right on, they win no matter who wins the fight, either promoting a huge draw for them and casting off a black mark or paying that joke Lesner nothing. I had tried to support most of the matchmaking in the past but this is just way to ridiculas. Lesner isnt even close to deserving a title shot, he beat Hearring who has always been a money grubbing nothing, and he couldnt even finish the fight when Herring was done in the first 10sec. I knew this Lesner thing was going to be a fiasco when they got him, and now Dana White, Joe Silva, and Lorenzo have just ruined the credibility of thier organization and the sport for yrs, catoring to the soap opera WWE type fans who want foney BS and drama instead of treating it like a legitimate sport, thanks guys.

  2. Boo hoo!  Bunch of cry-babies in here.  Who cares if he doesn't deserve it?  Millions want to see it.  The guy is obviously one of the most athletic fighters out there.  I can't wait to see it.

  3. Nov. 15.....The only reason they are making this fight is for the $$$$$.  They will make a ton of $$$$ for this fight b/c it is what the people want to see.  I do not think Lesnar deserves this fight, but I do think this will be a great matchup and I am highly anticipating it.

  4. im not sure who will win...but i agree with everyone else...when i just read that its for the title alls i could think of was nog and mir...my god how screwed they were just so dana white could afford another benz...if i were nog and mir id call affliction asap...nah not really thats harsh...but seriously...this wreaks of politics and money when you lose to frank mir, beat heath herring, and then fight for the title...no dice in my book...

at first i didnt believe the rumors to be honest...and when i heard them i thought randy would have no chance...now not only do i think randy has more than a good chance...i wanna see him out-think and out-technique lesnar and get a real contender...

lesnar needed one more year and 3 more wins and it would have been legit, now its just a reason for debate....

  5. Total B.S.

So does Big Nog get stripped of the Interm title? Or will the winner of Nog vs. Mir, fight the winner of this bout for the unified title..

Lesnar beat Herring who isn't even in the top 5 contenders for the belt.

This match up was made solely for the money, and a way to give themselves the best bargining chip on both fighters as possible.

This is Brock's last fight on his contract, a loss here would allow the UFC to pay him significantly less money to keep him on. If he wins, then it puts them in position with Randy to begin to delegitimize him, and devalue a Couture vs. Fedor match up.

This is all about money, not just in it making the most money it can. (With Randy still essentially off big wins, still a prime draw) and Brock receiving the most hype before someone of significance knocks him off.

This will make the most money now, so it is smart in a business sense. However the ripples from it amongst other fighters could be a concern, and ultimately while this fight offers the most bang for the buck at this exact moment, it also puts the UFC in strong negotiating positions in the future..

Good business decision, but c**p decision for other fighters (particularly Nogeira, and Mir).

It makes sense, but it sucks to me as a fan. But I imagine it will draw in big PPV bucks.

  6. Freakin' amazing... I really don't think Lesnar is deserving of the title shot yet, and I also am amazed Lesnar took this fight. I guess the belt is the main thing he is here for, but I would want more time to prepare, and atleast 1 or 2 more fights under my belt before facing Randy. I guess he looks at it like if he does lose to Randy, atleast his 2 losses came to the Heavyweight Champ and ex-Heavyweight champ. I'm a Lesnar fan, and I think he's for real.. but this is just too soon in my book

  7. I can't wait. I think its going to be a good fight and I think Lesnar will dominate the 45 year old. The Natural is one of the best ever, but Lesnar is bigger, stronger, faster, and more athletic. If you're not fighting to be champion, what are you fighting for? I think it's an amazing opportunity for Brock to prove himself to the world once again.
