UFC 91 location has changed?

I heard that the location of UFC 91 had changed from Portland, OR to Las Vegas? Is that true? I heard that it may have been announced when Dana announced Randy Couture would be fighting, which was today.

Yeah, that's true.  They changed the location of UFC 91 to Vegas after announcing that Randy Couture would be fighting Brock Lesnar for the Heavyweight Title.

Jim W, the UFC has the option to either strip the champion of his belt or create an Interim title, and once the champion is ready to fight he will fight the interim champion to become the undisputed champion. Randy was not stripped because there was legal trouble underway, if he would have refused to defend it, that's another case. As for 91 being moved, I'm not sure.

UFC 91 was going to take place in Portland, but it was just announced today that the show will be held in Las Vegas and it will be headlined by Randy Couture and Brock Lesnar for the UFC Heavyweight Title

It's kind of odd since Randy Couture should of technically been stripped of the title for not defending it with in a year, but it's all about Zuffa making money and this fight will be a very big money maker for the company

Winner of the main event will fight the winner of the Interim UFC Heavyweight Title match between Nogueira and Mir who also happen to be coaches of the next Ultimate Fighter season
