  1. Matt Serra will win by rear naked choke at the end of the second.  He's too good at reversals and wrestlers like Hughes are so likely to ground and pound a jiu jistsu guy, that I don't see how he plans on not giving up his back to Serra.

  2. Matt hughes would win because his a better fighter then Matt serra. His still the most dominate welterweight ufc champion of all time, look in the record books.

  3. Well, Matt Hughes has been a great fighter for many years, but lately he has been losing and he has been getting older. Matt Serra is also a pretty good fighter, but he had lost his last fight, i would go with Matt Serra.

  4. matt hughes. hes whole families been in this sport for along time and hes just a great fighter. hes better then matt serra no question.

  5. MATT HUGHES!!! thats all im gonna say!

  6. hughes is gonna tire him out and then finish him with some ground and pound

  7. Personally I love Matt Hughes.  I am a big fan, but....the UFC has changed.  The days of someone being good in the UFC and not doing it full time are over.  Wrestlers age the fastest in this sport.  He has had some injuries and should ride off into the sunset.  To be good in the UFC now you are going to have to be devoted full time to doing that.  He is too busy with life extracurriculars and family.  The days of a guy opening up a gym and doing well on their own without having an elite group to train and spar with daily are over.  Look at the best ones right now.  They all belong to big teams and have the bets of the best to train with daily.  If Matt wants to continue his career and if you read what he said about the last UFC on his website, I am convinced he has already retired no matter if the Serra fight ever happens or not, he needs to get back with a camp where he can spar with elite fighters daily for 4 months at minimum to be ready to fight in the UFC still.

Look at extreme couture and see who you would be training with and sparring with if you trained there.  HIT Squad isn't going to cut the mustard at this time for Matt.  They might get some good fighters out of there in time if they are given the time to develop them.  Robbie Lawler can't be your main sparring partner.

So I am not interested in seeing this fight any more and probably never was really interested in it unless Matt had a chance to get his belt back.

  8. They both are old and need to retire this is a young mans sport

  9. a little while ago I would've said hughes with out a doubt, but now I don't know serra may catch hughes with a huge shot like he did gsp, he may just have a chance to submit him, my gut still says hughes but I wouldn't be shocked if serra did win by ko,  but i'd say hughes wins by gnp or scorecards.

hey poosy did you ride the short bus?  serra a black belt in bjj and they fight at welterweight not middleweight,

  10. i think matt serra will win, hes not as big as a fall as hughes has been lately and for jeet kun do master........hughes wont hold that record for much longer...and he definitely wont be the best middleweight champ ever....
