UFC announces three more bouts for its UFC on Fuel TV 3 pay-per-view – UFC news
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is almost close to finalise its Fuel TV’s third episode. The management recently added three more bouts in the main card of the pay-per-view UFC on Fuel TV 3.
As revealed, Jorge Lopez is scheduled to take on Amir Sadollah in the welterweight division, Cody McKenzie is bound to fight Aaron Riley in the lightweight category and the last brawl announced will be between Brad Tavares and Dongi Yang in the middleweight
division.
The special edition will be headlined by a featherweight collision between Dustin Poirier and Chan Sung Jung. UFC will stretch its octagon at Patriot Center situated in Fairfax, Virginia on May 15, 2012. Lopez, infamous as the ‘Lil Monster’, can easily overpower
his opponent, as he has been a tremendous fighter throughout his career.
Lopez has been in a total 13 mixed martial art bouts winning 11of them. He has won six of his bouts by submission and five by knockouts, securing a percentage of 55% and 45% respectively. On the other hand, his opponent, Amir, has not exhibited much yet.
Amir has been in a total eight brawls, emerging victorious in five. He has not collected even a single knockout in any of his clashes in addition his submission stats are also not much intimidating. Sadollah collected two of his five wins by submission and
three by securing a unanimous decision in his favour.
Lopez, 23, seriously outclasses the veteran Amir as per their stats. In the lightweight division bout, Aaron heavily overshadows Cody by his stats. Aaron, 31, had been in a whopping 43 bouts. He has won 30 brawls, 14 of them by submission and 11 of them
by collecting unanimous decisions.
The competition between these two brawlers will be tough since both have an almost equal lethalness, agility, and resilience. Cody has been in total 14 bouts, came out victorious in 12 and collected 11 of his wins by submission and 1 by knock out. Cody’s
stats show that the 24-year-old is a submission specialist and relies heavily in taking down his opponent rather than knocking them out straight. The only aspect that will create some problems for Cody is Aaron’s heavy experience.
Brad is scheduled to face a slightly experienced challenger in the form of Korean Dongi Yang. Dongi, infamous as the Ox, has been in a total 12 brawls, won 10 and collected nine of his wins by knock out. Brad, on the other hand, has been in a total eight
fights. He has won seven brawls, two of them by submission and four of them by knock out.
